Overview

Duke Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their Women's Health team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is vital in providing direct and indirect care to patients, ensuring a high standard of healthcare delivery within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform intake with patients, including vital signs and clinical information
  • Assist with clerical administrative tasks for providers
  • Administer medications as ordered by providers
  • Conduct Point of Care Lab testing
  • Participate in performance improvement projects
  • Float in clinic to cover patient and provider needs as delegated

Required skills

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare and medical administration
  • Patient care skills and vital signs monitoring experience
