Overview

Duke Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their Women's Health Clinic in Morrisville, NC. The candidate will be part of a dedicated healthcare team, providing both direct and indirect care to patients while being supported by a commitment to professional development.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform intake with patients, including vital signs and visit information.
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers.
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures and exams.
  • Document patient encounters and take telephone messages.
  • Participate in performance improvement projects.
  • Float to cover patient and provider needs within the clinic and potentially other locations.

Required skills

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred
