Duke Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for their Urogynecology clinic in Durham, NC. The role involves providing direct and indirect care to patients while being part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to compassionate care.
Key responsibilities
Perform patient intake including vital signs and clinical information
Take and document telephone messages from patients
Administer medications following established protocols
Participate in performance improvement projects
Set up for clinical procedures and perform high level disinfection and sterilization
Obtain prior authorizations for medications and durable medical equipment
Float within the clinic to cover needs as delegated by clinic leadership
Required skills
Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program
Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA
BLS certification
Experience in healthcare and patient care
Knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
