Overview

Hammerstone Infrastructure Materials Ltd is seeking a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their quarry team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various heavy machinery, contributing to the operational sustainability of the Alberta oil sands industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heavy machinery
  • Perform repair and maintenance on equipment including excavators, dozers, haul trucks, and drills
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Required skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in heavy machinery maintenance
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract
  • Valid Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certificate
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and OHS regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
