Summers-Taylor, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Certified Crane Operator to join their team in Johnson City, Tennessee. This role involves operating heavy crane equipment for highway and civil heavy construction projects while ensuring safe and efficient operations according to industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate cranes to lift and move materials
  • Plan lifts and use capacity charts
  • Perform rigging and daily crane inspections
  • Respond to verbal and hand instructions
  • Monitor load travel to prevent injuries and property damage
  • Conduct daily inspections and report findings
  • Maintain clean and well-functioning equipment

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of crane operating experience
  • Class A or B CDL license
  • Current DOT physical card
  • CIC, NCCO or equivalent OSHA-approved crane certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Focus on safety procedures
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain a strong work ethic
  • Reliable transportation
