Overview

Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer to support student athletes and promote safe participation in sports. This role involves providing athletic training services in a local high school and assisting in clinics as a Physician Extender when necessary.

Key responsibilities

  • Cover home events and provide high quality patient care
  • Assist with outreach programs and coaches' clinics
  • Provide medical coverage for games, practices, and tournaments
  • Communicate injury status and return to play decisions
  • Coordinate sports coverage with athletic directors
  • Conduct assessments and present findings to physicians
  • Educate patients and ensure adherence to treatment plans
  • Participate in professional athletic training organizations

Required skills

  • Strong clinical knowledge
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to provide age appropriate care
  • CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Professionalism and respect for confidentiality
  • Bachelor's or Entry Level Master's in Athletic Training
  • BOC certification and Illinois AT license (or eligibility)
