Job Description

Overview

The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) at Hopedale Medical Complex is a PRN role focused on providing medical coverage at local High School events and ensuring the health and rehabilitation of athletes. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders in the sports community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide medical coverage at outside games, practices, and tournaments as needed
  • Communicate with athletes, parents, athletic directors, coaches, and physicians regarding athletes' playing status
  • Coordinate school sports coverage with the appropriate Athletic Directors
  • Evaluate and provide treatment programs within departmental and state guidelines
  • Assess patients' conditions and communicate findings to physicians
  • Deliver clear and concise patient education
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Knowledge of athletic injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques
