Job Description

Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a dedicated and safety-minded CDL Service Technician to join its team. This role involves ensuring high standards of safety and customer service while installing and repairing propane tanks for residential and commercial customers. Service Technicians will operate propane service vehicles and have opportunities for career advancement within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
