This position operates a Front-End Loader (FEL) truck to safely service commercial dumpsters while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with all DOT, company, and safety regulations.The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and committed to operating safely while maintaining high service standards. This role requires working independently, managing time effectively, and representing Capital Waste Services in a professional manner with customers and the communities we serve.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a Front-End Loader (FEL) truck to collect and transport commercial waste.Complete assigned routes efficiently and according to established schedules.Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.Ensure proper servicing of commercial containers while minimizing property damage.Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.Interact professionally with customers and address service-related concerns appropriately.Use route management technology and onboard systems as required.Keep vehicles clean and in good operating condition.Report accidents, incidents, equipment failures, and safety hazards immediately.Complete route documentation, inspection reports, and other required paperwork accurately and timely.Assist with training new drivers when assigned.Perform other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsRequiredValid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements.Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, and physical examination.Minimum age of 21 years.Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in varying weather and traffic conditions.Strong commitment to safety and customer service.Minimum of 3 years of experience with Front-EndPreferredPrevious front end, commercial waste, sanitation, or heavy equipment experience.Waste industry experience.Experience driving automated commercial vehicles or heavy trucks.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.Ability to operate hydraulic equipment safely and efficiently.Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Effective communication and customer service skills.Ability to manage time and complete routes efficiently.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Physical RequirementsFrequently climb into and out of commercial vehicles.Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb throughout the workday.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with vehicle operation and inspections.Work EnvironmentOutdoor work environment with regular exposure to traffic, weather conditions, dust, noise, and waste materials.Requires early morning starts, overtime, weekends, and holiday work as business needs dictate.What We OfferCompetitive payWeekly payMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Life Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Career advancement opportunitiesStable, growing organization with a commitment to safety and operational excellenceEqual Employment Opportunity StatementCapital Waste Se
