Job Description

Overview

The H&K Group is seeking experienced and motivated Class B CDL drivers to join their Maryland Division/HTI team in Finksburg, Maryland. This role emphasizes reliability and attentiveness, with responsibilities including driving, maintaining log books, and vehicle inspections.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive truck to destinations
  • Prepare receipts for load pick up
  • Maintain truck log according to regulations
  • Contact supervisor for delivery instructions
  • Load and unload truck
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies
  • Perform daily pre and post trip of vehicle
  • Tarp loads for public roadway travel
  • Trim loads prior to tarping when necessary
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class B CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Customer Service and Teamwork skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements related to the job
  • Preferred: 3 years of commercial driving experience
  • Preferred: 3 years of triaxle driving experience
  • Preferred: TWIC card with CDL class B
  • Preferred: Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
  • Preferred: Experience in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
  • Preferred: MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
