Overview

Capital Waste Services LLC is seeking a CDL Driver for waste collection in Columbia, South Carolina. The role requires operating various types of trucks to ensure efficient waste collection while adhering to safety regulations and providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate trucks including Front-End Load, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, or Automated Side-Load (ASL) for waste collection
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of materials while following safety regulations
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform minor mechanical maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and communicate with team members and supervisors
  • Provide excellent customer service during public interactions

Required skills

  • Valid CDL A or B
  • At least 2 years of driving experience in the garbage truck industry
  • Safe driving record
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Experience with Front-End Load, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, Automated Side-Load (ASL) (preferred)
