Job Description

Overview

The CDL Driver & Crane Operator at SRS Building Products is responsible for the safe and efficient transport and delivery of building materials to job sites. This role involves operating trucks, cranes, and forklifts, while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and maintaining customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely deliver building materials within a 200-mile radius following DOT regulations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and operate cranes and forklifts
  • Coordinate with rooftop loaders for accurate and damage-free deliveries
  • Verify inventory and document deliveries with photos
  • Provide excellent on-site customer service
  • Support warehouse and yard maintenance
  • Conduct job site inspections and report conditions

Required skills

  • Valid CDL driver's license with air brakes endorsement
  • Proficiency in performing routine maintenance and safety checks
  • Experience operating crane-equipped trucks, conveyor belts, and forklifts
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards
  • Skilled in pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather
