Overview

Grove Transportation Services, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for local delivery in the Hebron, Kentucky area, primarily around CVG airport. The role involves ensuring safe and timely transportation of various commodities and no-touch freight while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining communication with the operations team.

Key responsibilities

  • Maneuver vehicles into loading and unloading positions
  • Perform drop and hooks as needed
  • Regularly inspect equipment to ensure safe working order
  • Maintain cleanliness of cab and trailer
  • Report mechanical and safety issues to supervisor
  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, TSA and other safety procedures
  • Maintain electronic log of hours and mileage
  • Plan routes to meet delivery schedules and deadlines
  • Inspect cargo for safe and secure delivery
  • Collect and review documentation to confirm delivery instructions
  • Employ professional communication with clients and co-workers
  • Recognize and identify hazmat and safety signage
  • Maintain communication with office staff and supervisor
  • Take initiative as a team player to problem-solve
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license
  • DOT physical card
  • Hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Good MVR and safe driving record
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, and drive for long periods
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • One or more years of CDL Class A driving experience preferred
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Air cargo transportation experience preferred
