Overview

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver to join their team in Contoocook, New Hampshire. The role involves transporting goods and ensuring efficient delivery to customers, all while adhering to company standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt and product temperatures
  • Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • CDL-A commercial driver's license
  • 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and logistics management
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections
  • Customer service skills
  • Road navigation and time management skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
