Overview

Ecolab is seeking a CDL-A Tanker Driver for their expanded team in Joliet, Illinois. This role involves delivering bulk chemicals safely using a diesel bulk tanker vehicle while adhering to safety protocols and DOT regulations. The position offers a unique opportunity in Ecolab's private fleet focused on safety and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate diesel bulk tanker vehicles for chemical delivery within a 500-mile radius.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on all vehicles used for deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate delivery location maps and communicate with sales and supervisors regarding field issues.
  • Follow Ecolab Verified Delivery procedures and maintain compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure daily mechanical and safety inspections of the truck and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear during operations.

Required skills

  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) without restrictions
  • 3 years of commercial driving experience with compliance to Federal Motor Carrier Safety and DOT regulations
  • Experience in operating bulk or tanker vehicles, including hazardous materials
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Logistics management and vehicle maintenance knowledge
