Ecolab Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Tanker Driver, also referred to as a Customer Delivery Specialist, to join their expanded team in Joliet, IL. This role involves safely operating bulk tanker vehicles and delivering chemicals to various customer locations. The company emphasizes a safety-first approach and offers an opportunity for professional growth within their new private fleet.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver bulk chemicals within a 500-mile radius from Joliet, IL
  • Safely operate diesel bulk tanker vehicles
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate delivery location maps
  • Communicate with sales and supervisors about field problems or safety hazards
  • Follow Ecolab Verified Delivery procedures
  • Adhere to DOT regulations for hazardous materials transportation
  • Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Work a rotating overnight delivery schedule

Required skills

  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HazMat & Tanker endorsements
  • 3 years of commercial driving experience compliant with safety regulations
  • Ability to back and parallel park bulk tankers and trailers
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety inspections
  • Customer service skills
  • Logistics planning and map reading skills
