Overview

Green Transportation is seeking experienced CDL-A Solo Drivers for their growing transportation network based in Battle Creek, Michigan. This role offers independent driving opportunities with reliable miles and guaranteed home time, emphasizing safety and professionalism within a supportive company culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle
  • Transport LTL and truckload freight on scheduled routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Follow FMCSA and DOT regulations at all times
  • Communicate consistently with dispatch regarding load updates
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery procedures with customers and shipping partners
  • Maintain bills of lading, proof of delivery paperwork, and trip documentation
  • Monitor road and weather conditions and report delays
  • Represent Green Transportation professionally

Required skills

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience
  • Strong safety mindset and knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Ability to communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Experience with LTL and truckload freight is preferred
