Job Description

Overview

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL A or B Local Straight Truck Driver for their Norwalk, CT location. In this role, the driver will split time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Acts as a front-line representative while providing outstanding customer service
  • Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
  • Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
  • Interacts with customers and crews at job sites
  • Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
  • May perform additional functions such as cycle counts and inside sales

Required skills

  • CDL-B or A license
  • Minimum one year driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Moffett forklift experience (will train as needed)
  • Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck (will train as needed)
  • Ability to lift boxes weighing 80+ pounds
  • Strong customer service skills and high integrity
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to pass required pre-employment drug screen
