Overview

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL A or B Local Straight Truck Driver in Norwalk, Connecticut. This role demands a driver to split time between making deliveries and warehouse duties, providing a comprehensive service to customers while adhering to the company's family values and commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a front-line representative, providing outstanding customer service
  • Split time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
  • Use a moffett forklift to facilitate deliveries
  • Interact with customers and crews at job sites
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
  • Perform additional functions like inventory management and inside sales as needed

Required skills

  • CDL-B (or A) license
  • At least one year of driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Moffett forklift experience (training will be provided)
  • Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck (training will be provided)
  • Ability to lift boxes weighing 80+ pounds
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to meet DOT testing and physical requirements
