Job Description

Overview

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL A Local Transfer Tractor Trailer Driver for its Woburn, MA location. The driver will primarily handle the transportation of building products between branches while also being involved in warehouse operations, including loading and unloading items weighing over 80 pounds.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pre/post trip truck checks and secure loads
  • Transfer products efficiently between Lansing branches
  • Verify quantities and types of materials at each stop
  • Load and unload products at delivery locations
  • Prevent damage to products in transit
  • Maintain appropriate transfer paperwork
  • Maximize truck capacity without exceeding weight limits

Required skills

  • Valid CDL A license
  • At least one year of driving experience
  • 1C Hoisting License (preferred, training can be provided)
  • Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Experience with building products (helpful)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
