Job Description

Overview

ABF Freight is seeking a CDL-A Local Driver / Forklift Operator to manage the pickup and delivery of cargo within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. This role requires loading and unloading trailers, operating forklifts, and completing necessary paperwork, while ensuring compliance with weight distribution laws and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Pickup and deliver cargo to various destinations
  • Load and unload cargo from trailers
  • Operate a forklift as needed
  • Perform tractor/trailer inspections and setups
  • Complete and log loading sheets and paperwork

Required skills

  • Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements
  • 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience
  • Forklift operation
  • Time management
  • Transportation safety
  • Good stable work record
  • Safe driving record
