Overview

Green Transportation is seeking experienced CDL-A Solo Drivers based in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to support its expanding transportation network. This role offers a balance of independence and consistent home time, with a commitment to safety and professionalism in delivering freight.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle
  • Transport LTL and truckload freight on scheduled routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Follow FMCSA and DOT regulations
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding load updates
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery procedures with customers
  • Maintain bills of lading and trip documentation
  • Monitor road conditions and communicate concerns to operations
  • Represent Green Transportation professionally

Required skills

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience
  • Strong safety mindset and knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Ability to communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Transportation and logistics experience
  • Experience with LTL and truckload freight
  • Knowledge of BOLs, PODs, and transportation documentation
