Overview

Green Transportation is seeking experienced CDL-A Solo Drivers in Wyoming, Michigan, to support its expanding transportation network. This role offers competitive pay, consistent miles, and reliable home time, making it ideal for drivers who prioritize independence and safety in their work.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle
  • Transport LTL and truckload freight on scheduled routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Follow FMCSA and DOT regulations at all times
  • Communicate consistently with dispatch regarding load updates and trip status
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery procedures with customers and shipping partners
  • Maintain bills of lading, proof of delivery paperwork, fuel receipts, and trip documentation
  • Monitor road and weather conditions and communicate delays or concerns to operations
  • Represent Green Transportation professionally with customers and team members

Required skills

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience
  • Strong safety mindset and knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Ability to communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Transportation and logistics experience
  • Experience with LTL and truckload freight
  • Knowledge of BOLs, PODs, and transportation documentation
