Job Description

Overview

As a CDL-A Driver at McLane Company, Inc., you will be a vital part of moving, supplying, and providing for major brands across the country. This role emphasizes reliability, dedication to safety, and opportunities for career growth through a supportive network.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt and product temperatures
  • Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Vehicle inspection skills
