Overview

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at McLane Company, you'll play a critical role in transporting goods for major brands across America. With a commitment to safety and reliability, you'll be part of a dedicated team that emphasizes building long-lasting relationships with clients while ensuring timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, adhering to commercial driving regulations
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery details
  • Unload trailer and deliver products into customer premises
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and commercial driving regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related tasks
  • Vehicle maneuvering and maintenance skills
  • Customer service skills
