Overview

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at McLane Company, you will play a crucial role in moving, supplying, and providing for America's favorite brands. With a focus on reliability and safety, you will drive a tractor-trailer, manage deliveries, and maintain accurate logs while enjoying industry-leading pay and benefits.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips
  • Submit DOT inspection reports indicating vehicle condition
  • Drive to destination, applying commercial driving regulations
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations
  • Unload trailer and deliver products to customer locations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and commercial driving regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently
  • Strong vehicle maneuvering skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Time management and logistics management
