Overview

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at McLane Company, Inc., you will be responsible for delivering products to customers while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. This role is crucial in supporting the logistical operations of a company that has been an industry leader for over 130 years.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
  • Inspect bill of lading and ensure accuracy of keys during off-hour delivery.
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of driving regulations.
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Unload trailer and deliver products into customer premises.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Knowledge of commercial driving regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Safety-focused and reliable
  • Adaptability in various driving conditions
