Job Description

Overview

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at McLane Company, Inc., you will play a critical role in moving, supplying, and providing for America's favorite brands. With a focus on safety and reliability, our drivers build long-lasting careers while enjoying industry-leading pay and benefits.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
  • Drive tractor-trailer to designated locations while adhering to commercial driving regulations
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions
  • Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for job-related tasks
  • Knowledge of commercial driving regulations

  • Pay Rate: Drivers make $80,000 to $90,000, top earners up to $110,000
  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000 depending on experience
