Overview

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at McLane Company, you will be responsible for delivering products while ensuring safety and compliance with driving regulations. McLane has been an industry leader in distribution for over 130 years, emphasizing dedication, reliability, and safety for its drivers, providing opportunities for long-lasting careers.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, following commercial driving regulations.
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Unload trailer and deliver products into customer premises.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Vehicle inspection and safety compliance
  • Customer service and navigation skills
  • Time management
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a sufficient level
