Overview

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Catering Manager 3 to oversee catering operations for the University of Southern Maine. This role focuses on delivering exceptional catering experiences across multiple campus locations while managing a thriving program with significant growth potential.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead catering operations across multiple campuses, ensuring exceptional service and event execution
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of events including meetings, conferences, receptions, and banquets
  • Partner with clients to create customized catering experiences
  • Oversee event logistics, staffing, scheduling, setup, service, and post-event follow-up
  • Drive catering revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities
  • Manage food and labor costs while maintaining budget targets
  • Collaborate with culinary teams on menu development and food presentation
  • Coach and develop hourly catering staff to foster a positive culture
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards
  • Maintain inventory controls and operational efficiencies
