Overview

The Catering Chef at Aramark will supervise all culinary operations for a location, focusing on creating exceptional dining experiences through effective menu planning and team leadership. This role requires a blend of culinary expertise and managerial skills to ensure high-quality food service and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Train and lead kitchen personnel
  • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards for menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance in the kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and offer culinary instruction

Required skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Verbal, reading, and written communication skills
