Overview

GEICO is seeking a motivated Casualty Claims Examiner with experience in bodily injury and automotive liability claims to join their team in Largo, Florida. This role involves handling complex investigations, evaluating claims, and delivering exceptional customer service to policyholders. The position offers a hybrid work model and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders throughout the claims process
  • Investigate claims to determine liability and assess coverage
  • Evaluate damages and negotiate settlements with insureds and attorneys
  • Adjust reserves on new and existing claims
  • Communicate findings to claims management and participate in claims forums

Required skills

  • Minimum five years of bodily injury claims handling experience
  • Prior experience with private passenger automotive liability claims
  • Active Adjuster license at time of hire
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Understanding of Department of Insurance guidelines
  • Exceptional negotiating skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
  • Litigation handling experience preferred
