Overview

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Carpenter for its heavy civil construction projects in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and assembling concrete forming systems based on blueprints, while emphasizing safety and collaboration in their work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with and promote safety policies and procedures
  • Construct, erect, install, and repair structures using hand and power tools
  • Interpret blueprints and building plans to determine dimensions and materials
  • Secure and put away tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each day
  • Manage a team efficiently and effectively

Required skills

  • 3 years of experience in bridge work
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Assembly and disassembly of heavy form systems
  • Knowledge of concrete pumps and finishing
  • Rebar installation
  • Experience with leveling tools such as laser levels and transits
  • Power tool operation and maintenance
