Overview

Bayfront Roofing and Construction is seeking a skilled Carpenter Craftsman to join their team in Aransas Pass, Texas. The role involves constructing and maintaining various structures, with a focus on quality and adherence to project specifications, all while working collaboratively under the direction of the project manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Sculpt and piece together siding, drywall, kitchen cabinets, and furniture
  • Build door and window frames, stairways, rafters, and partitions
  • Confirm flooring, roofing, and drywall are level and compatible
  • Check existing sketches and blueprints to understand project requirements
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and fix structures
  • Perform framing and structural repairs
  • Repair wood rot and damaged decking
  • Install windows, doors, siding, trim, and exterior components
  • Assist with roofing systems as needed
  • Ensure all work is level, plumb, square, and built to code
  • Maintain clean and professional job sites
  • Communicate clearly with project managers

Required skills

  • In-depth knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
  • 3+ years of carpentry experience
  • Strong understanding of residential construction
  • Ability to read blueprints and scopes of work
  • Accurate measuring and math skills
  • Excellent hand dexterity
  • Strong physical condition
  • Driver's license required
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Must have own basic tools
