University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a Cardiology Physician to join their esteemed Department of Medicine. This position offers the opportunity to provide direct medical care and manage patient evaluations and diagnoses while contributing to a legacy of excellence in patient care and medical education.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide and manage direct patient care including physical exams, evaluations, and treatment
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens based on medical conditions
  • Refer patients to specialists and manage care components
  • Train and supervise medical students and residents
  • Manage daily operations of a medical program or patient care unit
  • Direct and coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff
  • Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs
  • Adhere to departmental policies, safety, and quality standards

Required skills

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree
  • Unrestricted medical license
  • Fellowship training in relevant specialties
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards in medical care
  • Ability to maintain quality and infection control standards
  • Supervision and training abilities for clinical professionals and students
  • Prescription knowledge of drugs and non-pharmaceutical aids
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using EPIC system
  • State of Ohio and Federal DEA Certification
