Job Description

Overview

The Cardiology Physician will work at the Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute in Seattle, focusing on both clinical responsibilities and medical directorship. This role involves providing patient care as a Non-Invasive Cardiologist with an emphasis on Advanced Imaging Interpretation, while also overseeing program development and quality assurance initiatives within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform clinical duties in patient care through clinic visits, diagnostic readings, and inpatient coverage
  • Collaborate with the echo lab medical director to maintain high-quality standards for cardiac imaging
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Advanced Imaging Program
  • Assist with medical staff recruitment and keep staff informed about organizational strategies
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and organizational requirements
  • Mentor physicians and advanced practice clinicians, fostering their development
  • Lead clinical research initiatives and develop fellowship opportunities in advanced imaging

Required skills

  • Licensed Cardiologist in the State of Washington
  • Board-certified in Specialty
  • 5+ years as a practicing Cardiologist with Level III competency in cardiac MRI, CT, and nuclear imaging
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, preferably as a Medical Director
  • Strong strategic thinking and consensus-building skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams

What the company offers

  • Salary between $550,000 and $670,000 per year
