Job Description

Overview

ProLocums is seeking a Part Time Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist in Corbin, Kentucky, to cover for a provider on vacation. This position requires expertise in various interventional procedures and may lead to additional opportunities in other markets for interested candidates.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform interventional procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and coronary thrombectomy
  • Handle valve disease interventions such as valvuloplasty and percutaneous valve repair
  • Address congenital heart abnormalities through various repair techniques
  • Provide inpatient/clinic consultations and patient care
  • Take part in STEMI call responsibilities, including inpatient rounding
  • Manage patient appointments and follow-ups in the clinic

Required skills

  • Interventional Cardiology expertise
  • MD/DO with Board Certification required
  • Active Kentucky medical license preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
  • Experience with Epic (EMR)
  • Competence in ischemic heart disease treatments
  • Skills in cardiac nuclear scans and echocardiography
  • Ability to provide case logs for recent procedures
