Overview

The role is for an Interventional Cardiologist to work as a locum tenens physician in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, covering for vacation leave from ASAP until February 20, 2026. The position involves inpatient service with responsibilities including clinical care and call coverage.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide interventional cardiology services in an inpatient setting
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • Participate in clinical and call coverage duties
  • Respond to call within 30 minutes
  • Manage a patient volume of approximately 20 patients
  • Conduct admissions and rounding

Required skills

  • Licensed in Mississippi or IMLC
  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology
  • Experience with Cerner EMR
  • Ability to work with support staff including RNs, PAs/NPs, and MAs
