Job Description

Overview

Duke Health is seeking a part-time Cardiac Sonographer to support patient and provider needs by utilizing ultrasound imaging technologies for diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. This role is located at Duke Cardiology of Raleigh and includes a commitment to compassionate care as part of the broader mission of Duke Health Integrated Practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform vascular scans and document procedures accurately.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork and ensure availability of documentation for each study.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
  • Add on studies as requested by providers.
  • Conduct monthly ICAVL reporting.

Required skills

  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or equivalent
  • Certified by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Cardiovascular Sonographer or Advanced Cardiac Sonogr
  • AHA BLS Certification.
  • Experience in clinical settings related to cardiac care and ultrasound imaging.
