Overview

Sumo Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specializing in cardiac anesthesia to work locum shifts in West Columbia, South Carolina. The position is set to start on August 3, 2026, and offers a competitive market rate for full-time work with a focus on open heart and cardiac procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for 100% cardiac/CT surgery cases
  • Work full-time with a schedule of 4x10s, including evening and weekend call shifts
  • Collaborate with a dedicated cardiac anesthesia team
  • Manage 2-5 cases per day in a CVOR setting
  • Ensure comfort with open heart/cardiac cases

Required skills

  • Active and unrestricted South Carolina license (compact accepted)
  • NBCRNA certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of cardiac experience
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required
  • Experience with CABGs, valves, aortic roots, and other cardiac procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Epic
