Job Description

Overview

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist PRN will provide direct patient care to cardiac patients, ensuring their safety during procedures and collaborating with other departments as needed. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care while utilizing technical skills to assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization lab.
  • Assist the physician with technical skills during procedures.
  • Record, store, retrieve, and analyze data during interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Maintain and evaluate equipment and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Practice within professional standards of certifying organization.
  • Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement programs.
  • Order supplies and maintain par levels.

Required skills

  • Certification/licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • ACLS certification
  • Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to perform under stress in emergency situations
  • Knowledge of developmental stages for appropriate patient care
