Overview

A large Cancer Care department in the Myrtle Beach area is looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team. This outpatient role involves managing chemotherapy, follow-up visits, and routine check-ups for adult patients with various cancers and hematologic disorders, working closely with oncology nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient care for cancer and hematology patients
  • Manage chemotherapy administration and patient symptom management
  • Assist with bone marrow biopsies and port care management
  • Conduct follow-up visits and routine check-ups
  • Collaborate with oncology physicians and nursing team
  • Manage an average patient volume of 15-20 patients per day

Required skills

  • Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • 2+ years of experience in oncology or hematology
  • EMR proficiency (Cerner)
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Experience in chemotherapy management
