Overview

The Campus Serve Director at Definition Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, provides leadership, oversight, and pastoral care for all serve teams and opportunities at the assigned campus. This role focuses on recruiting and developing healthy volunteer teams while fostering a culture of excellence and engagement within the church community.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee serve teams and opportunities, including team recruitment, leadership development, and training
  • Manage serve registrations, attendance, and database requirements
  • Develop teams for guest experiences, prayer, and prison ministries
  • Facilitate processes to assimilate new volunteers onto serve teams
  • Maintain a healthy culture among serve teams
  • Facilitate and teach programs to engage individuals in serving
  • Assist with pastoral care responsibilities, including managing online prayer requests

Required skills

  • Strong relational leadership and volunteer development skills
  • Organizational and systems-thinking abilities
  • Pastoral care and operational follow-through
  • Clear communication and teaching facilitation skills
  • Comfort managing databases and attendance tracking
  • 3+ years in a leadership position
  • Experience with group leadership and speaking to audiences of 10-200 people
