Overview

Raytheon is seeking a CAD Engineer to join the Mechanical Products Team in Tucson, AZ. This role involves planning, laying out, and revising engineering drawings while ensuring adherence to standard engineering drafting practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, lay-out, draw, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings
  • Complete major layout drawings in accordance with standard engineering practices
  • Prepare production detail drawings and develop design drawings from engineering sketches
  • Solve routine problems with minimal direction or supervision

Required skills

  • Degree in STEM field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with CREO Parametric (Pro/Engineer) and Windchill data management
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as Solidworks, CATIA, NX, Inventor, AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of documentation specifications like MIL-STD-31000, ASME standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Existing DoD Secret clearance
