Overview

As a Cable Service Technician at Madison Telecommunications Inc, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of telephone, security, video, and internet systems. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical proficiency, and a commitment to customer service, as you will troubleshoot issues and educate customers while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Install and service telephone, security, video, and internet systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Educate customers on system operations and address their needs.
  • Complete daily reports and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Maintain tools and vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Communicate effectively with Dispatch regarding schedule and delays.
  • Complete all installations according to company and industry standards.
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety rules.
  • Participate in technical development training and certification.

Required skills

  • Technical proficiency in cable systems, installation techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and procedures.
  • Basic math, computer, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and climb ladders up to 28 ft.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Fluency in English (speaking and understanding).
  • Commitment to continuous learning and safety consciousness.
