Job Description

Overview

As a Cable Installation Technician at Madison Telecommunications Inc, you will be responsible for installing and servicing telephone, security, video, and internet systems. This role requires local travel and adherence to company and OSHA safety standards, while providing excellent customer service and maintaining communication with dispatch.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete all installations according to company and industry standards
  • Acquire and return equipment as directed
  • Maintain tools and vehicles; report any maintenance issues
  • Communicate with Dispatch on arrivals, departures, and any delays
  • Accurately complete daily reports and paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety rules
  • Participate in technical development training and certification

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of cable systems, installation techniques, troubleshooting methods, and maintenance procedures
  • Problem-solving skills with critical thinking and analytical abilities
