Overview

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Cabinet Maker I to join their team in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this entry-level position, you will learn and perform basic skills related to the fabrication of aircraft cabinets and other wood-surfaced subassemblies, working under direct supervision and using design and engineering drawings.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn entry-level technical skills and knowledge in aircraft cabinetmaking
  • Demonstrate proficiency in preparation and making of furniture using design and engineering drawings
  • Utilize material tracking system to create parts demand and track progress
  • Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies while using personal protective equipment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of related initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in woodworking or wood finishing
  • Technical Certificate in cabinet making preferred
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Computer literacy
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
