We are looking for experienced Cabinet Fabricators who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!The Cabinet Fabricator will fabricate cabinets that support the delivery of aircraft using construction skills while following procedures and guidelines.Essential Functions: Consistently performs and encourages peers to perform at or above the expected standards of safety, quality, schedule and costWorks with engineering and industrial definition using 2D/3D data, company standards and work instructions to build aircraft cabinet componentsMentors co-workers or contractors to help develop individuals skills, knowledge and work performance per DFJ engineering, quality and company procedures, through example, positive attitude, work environment, and motivationProposes and supports continuous improvement to management and co-workersEmbraces and fosters ACE values with peers and helps create a work environment aimed at operational excellencePerforms quality checks of fabricated items performing both self and peer checksSelects materials from stock to manufacture parts and maintain traceability of materialsCommunicate and interact well with co-workers and managementUses expertise to save potential lost time or possible scrap when rework is requiredSuccessfully performs rework at the aircraft in a timely manner being aware of the aircraft delivery scheduleHandles finished, plated and painted parts in accordance with company standards and proceduresMaintains a clean and organized work areaLeads and trains other personnel on specific job assignments as directed by team leadWorks in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety proceduresPerforms cleaning of any equipment as needed High school diploma or equivalent5 years' experience in aircraft cabinetry, carpentry or fabricationProficient in all of the following areas with low or no reworko Sub assemblyo Mortise and Tenon (must be qualified), most complex carcass assemblieso Veneer and laminate applicationo Final assembly and cabinet installationAble to work custom inlays, mirror and exotic assembliesAble to set up and operate all standard equipment or toolsGood working knowledge of math and geometry: Able to work in both metric and imperial units of measureStrong communication skillsKnows the importance of schedules and budgets and helps team achieve objectivesComputer proficientAble to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodationMust have visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors and reworkAble to work with engineering and industrial definition using 2D/3D data, company standards and work instructions to build aircraft cabinet componentsMust be able to work with adhesives and chemicalsMust not be allergic to industrial chemicalsMust be able to work in confined spacesPI7f49cf69377f-0722
