Overview

The Buyer (Non-Production Material) at Recaro Aircraft Seating Americas, Inc. is responsible for the procurement of materials, components, supplies, and services. This role involves executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial targets and regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Place and confirm purchase orders with approved suppliers
  • Maintain contracts and source rules within ERP system
  • Coordinate engineering changes with the Engineering department
  • Perform inventory analysis, including supplier WIP and transportation WIP
  • Manage the supplier quote and negotiation process
  • Conduct monthly supplier management reviews
  • Support RECARO global sourcing strategy
  • Lead negotiations of contracts and agreements
  • Ensure compliance with RECARO policies and safety regulations

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 7+ years of procurement experience
  • 3+ years of procurement experience preferred
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management
  • Experience with contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with MRP systems/SAP and Teamcenter preferred
