Job Description

Overview

The Business Office Manager at Oakleaf Village Columbus is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business office and ensuring efficient supportive services in line with Wallick Communities' mission and values. This role includes managing billing, collections, and associated administrative tasks while being part of the management team focused on community excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of the business office and supportive services
  • Process community billing and send monthly statements to residents and their representatives
  • Handle collections by processing payments and following up on late or incorrect payments
  • Assist Corporate Accounting with processing Medicaid claims and billing
  • Interface with staff regarding timekeeping, personnel paperwork, and scheduling
  • Maintain resident agreements and filing systems
  • Oversee day-to-day front office functions and receptionist duties
  • Process accounts payables and coordinate with other departments
  • Maintain office and computer equipment according to policies
  • Communicate significant issues with the Regional Business Office Manager

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive office experience
  • 2 years of previous management experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong decision-making skills requiring high judgment
