Job Description

Overview

The Business Office Manager (BOM) at Ovid Healthcare Center will oversee daily office functions, focusing on skilled nursing accounts receivable and assisting patients and families with billing and insurance inquiries. This role is part of Ciena Healthcare, the largest provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services in Michigan.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the facility accounts receivable system
  • Record daily collections of cash receipts and make appropriate deposits
  • Establish and maintain communication with patients and family members regarding payment for care services
  • Generate timely billing for all payer classes
  • Review various Medicare and Medicaid documentation
  • Process Medicaid applications
  • Close Resident Trust accounts and complete monthly bank reconciliations
